Asiana Travel Mate, Vietnam Local Tour Operator, (ATM) made Christmas come early for 110 orphans. The Tour Operator together with its staffs, partners and foreign guests went to Long Hoa orphanage last Sunday 21st to play Santa Claus by sponsoring more than 35 million VND worth of presents and cash. Especially, another 2 million VND was set separately to help an orphan who was having kidney illness.
The visit was begun with a brief talk with Mr. Dung, the orphanage’s Manager who guided everyone around the Pagoda to get to know better about the kids’ living condition. Following there was a wonderful time bonding with the orphans, Interesting & interacting games were played between guest and Kids. Despite of language barrier for some of the foreigners, everyone enjoyed the time to the fullest. The highlights of the afternoon were the on-site magic show brought by Mr. Duy from Bon Sai Cruise who won much applause from the audience with his tricky yet humorous performance, and the traditional martial art performed by the kids at the orphanage.
We all left the site with a happy mind that sung, “I had a joyful and meaningful early Christmas!” and thanked ATM for the special day. Daniel, one of the guest said, “You know, to spend money on charity is easy but the difficult part is actually to put your time and effort in to arrange everything.” ATM is willing to do the difficult part and we hope that with our effort we can take charity doings a step further like Mr. James, ATM’s Saigon branch manager said, “The company not only wants to give back to society by itself, but also tries to form a network of charitable hearts by getting others involved.” This fund raising project again affirms ATM’s endeavor to “Responsible Travel & Sharing” and “Giving Back”
